As the Leaves Turn in the Flint Creek Valley

Hope Mill Site

As another summer comes to a close, I cannot help but marvel at the beautiful colors mother nature paints the landscape.  As the leaves shed their summer greens and turn various shades of red, orange, yellow, dark green and brown, it is a fitting finale before releasing the years growth to the ground.

The days are still warm, the nights cool, the highways are busy with folks gathering their fire wood for the upcoming Montana winter.  A person cannot drive into the forest without meeting a wood gathering party and hearing the buzz of a chain saw, especially on the weekends.

Their is just something about the crispness of the fall air, the smell of fresh sawn wood and the tiredness that comes with a day of hard work cutting firewood and the promise of wonderful wood heat to come.

Until next time, stay warm from the PBurg Realtor
